History
Izana Gallery, founded in November 2023, is a thriving contemporary art gallery in Yangon, Myanmar. We have been creating space and exhibiting the artworks of emerging as well as established artists. Our mission is to promote local and international artists through exhibitions and connecting with audiences and collectors. We believe art is a universal language that has the ability to bring people together, inspire, and bridge differences.

Founders of Arakan Art Gallery
Khine Thurein is the founder of Arakan Art Gallery, established in 2022. With a passion for art and a desire to showcase the talents of local and international artists, Khine has created a platform for artists to share their works with the world. Through exhibitions and collaborations with galleries and collectors, Khine is dedicated to promoting the work of artists and providing opportunities for the wider community to experience and engage with the world of art.
Mr. Soe Than, an art lover and collector, is a co-founder of Arakan Art Gallery. He brings a wealth of experience from his time in South Korea and traveling across South East Asia, making him a well-rounded individual with a diverse background. Beyond his role at the art gallery, Soe Than is also a successful entrepreneur with a diverse portfolio that encompasses restaurants, bars, and real estate investments. In addition, he has a deep-rooted interest in philosophy, cosmology, and the pursuit of understanding the mysteries of the universe.”
