BIOGRAPHY

Myat Co is a talented artist from Maubin, Ayeyarwaddy Division, who currently resides and works in Yangon. He received his education in the arts from the State School of Fine Arts in Yangon, where he graduated with a degree in Painting in 1996-1999 and in Sculpture in 1999-2002. Throughout his studies, Myat Co had the privilege of learning from some of the most renowned artists in Myanmar, including U Kyaw Thu Yein, U Thet Oo, U Myint Maung, U Win Tint, U Than Kywe, U Kyaw Kyaw Lwin, and U Myint Khine.

He has been a part of several group exhibitions including “The Identity” at Lokanat Galleries in 2015, “Northern Breeze” in Bogyoke Market in 2013, 2014, and 2015, “Contemporary Concepts” at Lokanat Galleries in 2014, “20 Years Anniversary” at Orient Art Gallery in 2013, and “Four Colours” at the Contemporary Art Show in Yangon in 2012.

He has been praised for his ability to capture the essence and beauty of flowers, portraits, and landscape paintings. He uses a variety of techniques and acrylic mediums to bring his subjects to life and create dynamic and energetic compositions.
