KYI AUNG KYAW

BIOGRAPHY

Kyi Aung Kyaw is a contemporary artist from North Okkalapa Township in Yangon, Myanmar. Born in 1988, he received his art education from the State High School of Arts in Yangon from 2009 to 2012. He is known for his distinctive style and has showcased his work in numerous exhibitions in Myanmar. He has been a part of numerous group exhibitions including the La Yate Pan Pwint Group Art Exhibition, the Art Bridge Art Exhibition, and the U Thu Kha Memorial Exhibition. He has also participated in exhibitions organized to support flood relief efforts in Myanmar. His works have been showcased at various galleries such as MOAC Art Gallery, Think Art Gallery, and Lokanat Galleries. In 2022, he held his first solo show “Being Life First” at Lokanat Galleries in Yangon. Kyi Aung Kyaw’s works are characterized by their use of primary colors showcasing the artist’s unique perspective and imagination.
